The F-16, a highly maneuverable multirole fighter proven in air-to-air combat, SEAD, and air-to surface attack, is the workhorse of the USAF’s Fighter Fleet. Powered by the Pratt and Whitney F100-PW-220 jet engine, capable of 24,000 lbs. of thrust, the Falcon has speed in excess of Mach 2 and a ceiling of 50,000 ft. The F-16 can be armed with the M61A1 20mm cannon (500 rd.), up to six air-to-air missiles, AGMs and ECM pods externally.
